Symm 261 C&I BESS CGI, silver commercial battery

Brunstock Australia appoints Colterlec as exclusive distributor of Symm 261 battery energy storage system in the Australia and New Zealand C&I markets

261 kWh liquid-cooled BESS now available through Colterlec for commercial and industrial sites, with capacity scalable to 2.61 MWh

MELBOURNE, 26 October 2026: At All Energy Australia 2026 Brunstock Australia and Colterlec announce their distribution partnership for the Brunstock Symm 261 BESS. This unique C&I battery energy storage system (BESS) is new to Australia and New Zealand offering a sleek industrial design and local technical support. Helmut Rebstock, CEO of Brunstock AG (Switzerland), travelled to the event to celebrate the signing of the partnership agreement with Colterlec.

Under a three-year distribution agreement, Colterlec will supply the Symm 261 to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers throughout the region, covering sectors from manufacturing and logistics to retail, healthcare and agriculture. The arrangement gives C&I businesses a single point of contact for procurement, commissioning and ongoing support.

About the Symm 261

The Symm 261 is Brunstock’s purpose-built C&I BESS, delivering 125 kW of power and 261 kWh of energy storage per module in a liquid-cooled, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) platform. The system has been engineered for sites where reliability, safety and flexibility are non-negotiable.

A defining feature of the Symm 261 is its modular scalability. A single module delivers 261 kWh; up to ten modules can be combined on the same platform to reach 1.25 MW and 2.61 MWh—without the need for a new hardware ecosystem or system redesign. This allows businesses to right-size their initial installation and expand storage capacity in line with operational growth.

With an optional included PCS applications include peak demand charge reduction, on-site renewable energy capture and dispatch, backup power for critical operations, and grid services. The liquid-cooled LFP chemistry delivers a strong thermal management profile, contributing to long cycle life and reduced maintenance overhead.
